Thoughts to Act On

The Iron Quilter Challenge presented the theme "A Disappearing Act" to the competition. Nancy Hicks made this sketch, which she fleshed out in fabric, for her piece. Not a big fan of sketching, I am always intrigued when I see someone else's drawing display freedom and expression.

  1. From what I can tell by what you've posted about your work methods, you are a fan of sketching -- but you call it "working things out on the design wall."

  2. You got that, oh perceptive one! I do like to draft things out, most of the time using shapes instead of line. Makes sense to me. That is why the line sketches interest me.
