Puddle Jumper
Morning flight to Toronto was a wee plane with the copilot standing in for steward. As my friend Bev pointed out -- an aisle seat is also a window seat. Total capacity of 20. Flown like a kid's airplane, we safely landed.

Short Term Memory
I'm still thinking about the Surface Design Sampler class this week in Montreal. The group was so diverse, so welcoming, and so fun. I loved that Chris gave it her all. Only wish we could spent twice as long creating. That'll be when I teach this a Pro Chemical and Dye August 15 - 19.

Welcome Committee
I hate to leave home, and hate to come home. And in a day, I'll be doing the leave/return thing again. So, I'm going to spend all of tomorrow greeting my greeters in my garden. Cause I don't think they'll be around when I return.

In the Thick of Dye
Suzanne went through all the processes we could think of to do with thickened dye in my Montreal "Surface Design Sampler" class. Next time I'll do this will be in August 15-19 at Pro Chemical and Dye just south of Boston. There's room, come find out what it's all about.

Cutting Great Fabric
Yesterday Suzanne took a cutter to my wonderful fabric (which she now owns) and made a glorious New Big Leaf. I hope to someday see the finished leaf. And bravo for having courage to cut with abandon!

No Image Now
I think this is a first -- some glitch won't allow me to post a photo. Might be because I'm in Canada, away from my usual smooth technology. But I'm tired, bleary eyed, and will try again tomorrow. Great day teaching in Montreal. Tomorrow the same.

Taking It On the Road
Time to pack it all up, the dyes, the silkscreens, the Big Leaf quilts. Car is gassed up, maps at the ready. I'm headed to Montreal tomorrow for a couple of seminars, a great quilt show, and time to see the lights on the streets in Old Town. CQQ Salon 2016.

And That's the Half of It
I have a test to see just how long is long it takes to get proper color set in dying. Not the most scientific, but I've sent half through the wash, this will be for tomorrow's load. It's packing day for Montreal tomorrow. Lots to do.
