Megaplanet

Josh Simpson's 100 pound paperweight mimics the earth. An object that seemed appropriate for the world wide Women's March of more than 2 million yesterday. This seen at the Corning Museum of Glass last week.

Where Once Our Mothers Stood

The Women's March rally in Seneca Falls passed this marker commemorating the first convention of Women's Rights in 1848. We marched in solidarity with women around the world for not only women's rights, but also the rights of others.

Years Ago

Back in the 90s my job was to design exhibits for the Memorial Art Gallery. One thing that still exists is the blue color of this room of European art. I think I choose that for the center painting. Still like this color.

Winter's Work

Winter is my time to catch up on studio work. Here is the whole cloth quilted and bound. I'll be taking this with me when I travel, along with other yard pieces I've printed. Just in case someone needs them.

Drying Rack Reality

Drying Rack Starter

Heaven and Earth

Susan Plum's work Woven Heaven Tangled Earth, which I saw today on a visit to the Corning Museum of Glass, is about 30" wide, and symbolizes the Mayan belief that the universe is constructed of filaments of light from which the heavens and earth are said to be constructed.

Change of Color

I purchased perfectly fine fabric for a background, seen here in the middle greenish stripe. But, preferred a redder shade, so heck, I dyed it. Easy when the dye studio is just to my right.

Admiration Society

Yesterday was the monthly meeting of the quilt club and part of the fun is to see members' work up close and in detail. One member quilted a tree where she "carved" her husband's and her names in the trunk of a tree. Clever clever.
