Leigh Yardley intrigued me with her work
Field and Stream, on view at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center. With materials added to a plastic/vinyl base, she cut holes, slices, sewed, painted, and a whole host techniques to get this wild result. The shadows behind it are worth the close up inspection.
