Love and Kisses

I could use these if I were signing those gigantic greeting cards, but no, these silkscreens are for the next printing session on my wonderful prepainted canvas. Don't you love that duct tape is made in colors? xxx for that.

  1. Do you use regular acrylic paint on your screens to make the circles and x's?

  2. Hi Laura,

The lines are made with thickened dye that I let dry. It is a kind of "deconstructed" silkscreen printing technique. But great, because it is water soluable and no harsh chemicals. So, the drawings I put on the screen wash out with water, as well as slowly come apart when I print over and over. But I like that effect. So, can't use this technique if you want a "forever" image.

  3. Just like Kerr Grabowski--I tried that technique last summer, have to try it again once it warms up again. I just love all your work, and happy birthday, too!
